01

Agree on the business action

Traffic is useful only when it helps a person take a meaningful next step. Define qualified actions—such as a proposal request, verified registration or appointment enquiry—before deciding which reports matter.

  • Name the target audience and their problem
  • Define a qualified conversion in plain language
  • Record the source without collecting unnecessary personal data
  • Assign an owner for follow-up quality
02

Give organic and paid channels distinct jobs

Search optimization builds durable discovery around relevant questions. Paid campaigns create controlled reach for approved audiences and time-sensitive offers. They should share landing-page standards and conversion definitions while retaining separate cost and attribution reporting.

03

Measure the whole enquiry journey

A form submission is not automatically a good lead. Connect campaign and content reporting with response time, qualification, proposal and outcome data. This prevents low-quality volume from looking like growth.

  • Visibility and relevant landing-page visits
  • Completed primary actions
  • Qualified enquiries and response time
  • Proposals, registrations or other verified outcomes
04

Use honest reporting

Reports should show definitions, date ranges, exclusions and known tracking limitations. Separate advertising platform spend from professional fees. Avoid guaranteed ranking, lead or revenue claims because markets, platforms and customer decisions remain outside any agency’s control.
